  • Fluent in Korean

Project-Specific Responsibilities: Mr. Underwood is overall responsible for the performance of the team and ensures complete client satisfaction.

Yoon, Dong-young (Dave), Director, Senior Consultant

  • Yoon has been at IRC for more than 15 years.
  • Background in finance industry with previous experience in investment and research in financial markets
  • Solid primary and secondary research skills, and organized, concise analytical writing
  • B.A. in Business Administration, Sogang University

Project-Specific Responsibilities: Mr. Yoon is IRC’s lead consultant managing research & implementation.

Kim, Ji-Yeon, Director, Senior Consultant

  • Kim is in her sixth year at IRC where her primary responsibility is attracting Korean investment into Georgia,
  • 5 years program management with an international NGO
  • 16 years’ experience in investment promotion, program management, and trade and economic policy working for the UNDP as well as at European and North American embassies in Seoul.
  • Outstanding networker, organized and focused
  • MA in Economics from Yonsei University; BA in Korean History from Sookmyung Women’s University

Project-Specific Responsibilities: Ms. Kim supports projects as needed through her network of contacts across industries. 

Penelope Richey Kim, Executive Consultant

  • Background in business and regulatory law,
  • Experience with top Korean law firm and US. Department of Commerce
  • Seven years’ experience in international affairs with U.S. Department of State working with international and United Nations organizations
  • In-depth understanding of Korean business culture
  • Skilled writer, analyst and communicator
  • JD at American University Washington College of Law, Washington, DC; B.A. in Politics, Rollins College, Florida
  • Fluent in Korean, conversational German

Project-Specific Responsibilities: Ms. Kim will supports projects as required including primary interviews, analysis, and client communication.

Lim, Yu-chul (Eric), Senior Consultant

  • Mr. Lim’s primary responsibility is to support IRC’s key contact with Fort Wayne Metals by serving as their Country Manager
  • Background in Engineering with professional experience in B to B sales & marketing of technical/engineering based products working with several foreign invested firms in Korea 
  • Skilled at communication effectively & efficiently between Foreign head-office and Korean customers / partners, developing and maintaining reliable & continuous relationships with key accounts / partners
  • B.S. Materials Science & Engineering, Korea University
  • Native Korean speaker, fluent in English 

Kim, Jiho, Consultant

  • Mr. Kim is in his second year at IRC
  • Supports IRC’s contract with the Georgia Department of Economic Development responsible for trade promotion
  • Specialized in market research and partner identification
  • B.S. in Management Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University
  • Native Korean speaker, fluent in English

Project-Specific Responsibilities: Mr. Kim supports projects with research, implementation and field visits.
